I have had my wii for over 2 years. My friends started off with one, but have now moved onto the 360 platform. The wii's games library is beginning to get very dull, and games on the 360 are getting better and better. It seems like I have been left behind, and my wii is beginning to gather dust. I haven't played it for at least 2 months now, and it seems that the magic of that shiny new console has disappeared.
My friends and many other people like yourselves have been attempting to persuade me into buying an Xbox 360. They couldn't seem to understand why I liked the Wii so much, and why I detested the 360. I think that the reason of me disliking the xbox so much was because of my immaturity. Now, I quite like the xbox, and this year is the only one so far where I have not had any idea what I would like for christmas.
The Xbox 360 looks like a good option. With its wide range of games, its brilliant online play and amazing visuals for most of its games, I see a good competitor to the wii. Especially as it sells in some places as £130 (I think around $215 for you americans out there).
I am very tempted to get one for Christmas. What do you guys think? And by the way, I still like Nintendo, and I will always stay as and be Nintendo Master!

No. Get a PS3 like me. - Better graphics - Better games - Plays games faster - Most games that are out for Xbox 360 will be out for PS3 too, no question - Playstation consoles last longer Microsoft + games consoles = a big no no. Just doesn't suit them.

Who should give a crap about graphics at the end of the day, unless they're at the standards of Ninjabread Man. Even if the graphics are outdated, as long a game is fun to play, I'd be happy. That's a very Chad Wardenn-ish thing to say. "PS3'S GOT ALL AWLL THE GAAAYMES" I haven't seen many interesting games out for the PS3. Sports games, Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero clones and shooters. GIVE US BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL 2 ALREADY, DARN IT. (Only PS3 games I'm interested in-LBP, Assassin's Creed, CoD, Infamous, R+C Future, Batman Arkham Asylum) Again, load times aren't Armaggedon unless they're like over a minute, which is rare on the 360 as far as I know. And long load times are usually related to the game sucking ass like Sonic Next-gen, not the console hardware itself. - Most games that are out for Xbox 360 will be out for PS3 too, no question Does it REALLY matter what console you get a game for?? Sonic Next-gen sucks on both consoles. And not many 360/PS3 games I've seen come out have version-exclusive content, excluding Soul Calibur 4. - Playstation consoles last longer 360s don't red ring as much as they used to.

So Dylan, you are stating facts, and then when you lose the argument you claim that they were your own opinions? Ok, well moving on, I decided to buy a 360, and my uncle is selling his premium to me, with loads of games for only £100.
So, by christmas I will be playing on games such as COD MW 2, Forza, Halo 3, GTA4, and Burnout.
Now, unlike you PS3 fans, I have something ridiculously fascinating and revolutionary to look forward to in the near future. Project Natal. You may be looking forward to your magic wand, but all that does is replicate Wii motion plus. Maybe a bit better, but that is yet to be proved. Project Natal on the other hand can detect ALL your muscular movements throughout your whole body, and can even recognize who you are via your facial features and your voice. When this is mastered, and released (expect it next summer) it will be a turning point in technological development.
Before saying something immature like "Well when I can be bothered to watch some crappy microsoft video I will" please watch and compare these two E3 videos of 1. Sony's magic wand and 2. Project Natal. Please give me your opinions on these after you have compared them. (NOTE - I see no need of posting a video of motion plus. Everyone knows well it works. If you don't then please tell me....)
Sony's Magic Wand
Microsoft's Project Natal

You're welcome. And yeah PS3s don't break every 5 minutes. Even Windows 95 was more stable than an Xbox. Another point made in that video, it scratches its own discs. How pathetic.
