I could say the exact same about Super Mario Galaxy. Since when can you breath in space? And take a look at Rayman. Since when can you use your hair like a helicopter and drive your shoes like cars? Plus take a look at the Guilty Gear franchise, which has the weirdest character line-up in beat'em up history, including a blind guy possessed by a demon, a one-armed samurai who has an arsenal of random weapons hidden where her arm is gone and a criminally insane doctor with a scalpel the length of a javelin who wears a paper bag on his head. And Tomba, which teaches you that if evil pigs are near, just call a pink-haired half-naked guy to trap them in bags, simples. What NM and I are getting at is that games don't have be realistic so long as they're fun to play. Like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SO8MWwZLDMEPigs and Rik Mayall FTW

I'm all for a game not being realistic but still fun. However, when a game title, Call of Duty for example, has the words "Modern Warfare" in it, I expect the game to be like actual modern warfare. Call of Duty MW1 did a good job of this, however, Call of Duty MW2 did not. They over did it. Call of Duty has realistic graphics, but the gameplay and the weapon set is not.
And NM, those pictures, a chrome intervention? either that picture is fake, or that gun is fake, and the picture of the "Vector" is not a "Vector" that is a picture of an MK5 with a RAS installed allowing the foregrip and what looks to be a red-dot sight mounted on top.

Like we said before, it doesn't matter how realistic the game is, as long as it is good. And Modern Warfare 2 is, no messing. And yeah, I was just using those pictures as examples. Sorry if they are not accurate.

I like my games to follow what its title states based off of its gameplay, with the exception of random titles such as Metal Slug and Red Steel.

Those 2 are bad examples as they still sort of explain what the gameplay's like (A slug made of metal? Sounds like something with robots! And Red Steel? Must be about killing people with swords)
What would it be like if some games were true to their title?
Neverhood- Postponed development of a local community 40 Winks- Wink 40 times with toothpicks and pepper in your eyelids and you win Guilty Gear- A court case involving mechanical parts Klonoa- Uuuuuuuuuuh... Chinese clones? Forgotten worlds- If you remember the world exists you lose. Kind of like the game. HAHAHAHAHA!

Half-and-half. The warfare is definitely there, but not so much modern. Then again, have "modern" FPSes ever been modern?

Modern Warfare 1 has. Agreed. Metal slug has nothing to do with robots. It's a 2D side scroller war game and there is no metal slug in Metal Slug. Also, I don't know what your thinking, but when I hear Red Steel, unless you've played or know about the game the last thing I would think of would be swords.

Metal slug has nothing to do with robots. It's a 2D side scroller war game and there is no metal slug in Metal Slug. Didn't you play Metal Slug 5? That game features robots as enemies and so does the 4th (robots built in Morden's image and Allen 'O Neill revealed to be a Terminator of sorts) and 3rd (the boss at the end of level 3). And I guess the name "Metal slug" ties in with the fact that you can ride animals that have gun attachments. (ostrich slug, camel slug, donkey slug and so on) Also some of the non-organic slugs bear a vague similarity to robots, like the Slugnoid and that massive thing with the harp oon. And last but not least, what about slug being used to describe ammunition in real-life, eg. "Gee whizz, I just shot my poor teacher with a .44 slug!" Modern Warfare 1 has. Any other examples? I mean, only game as an example when there's several un-modern , un-realistic FPSes like Killzone 2, Crysis, Doom, Prey, Timesplitters, the works?

Aww Timesplitters, great game I've only played Metal Slug 1 and 2. I haven't seen a self-controlled robot in any of them. I guess the "metal slug" could qualify as ammunition as Metal Slug is a shooting game. I know that Ghost Recon 1 and 2 are pretty modern and so is Rise of Nations, Rainbow 6 Vegas 1 and 2, Grand Theft Auto 4, etc.

yeah Timesplitters 2 was cool as well. I still have trouble beating the very hard levels

Yeah same here. I have unlocked everything in TimeSplitters 2 except for the "Site" level, in which you need to beat the game on hard.

Project Natal. Need I say more? What do u mean? project natal was a HUGE failure for microsoft? playstation move? need i say more? How was it a huge failure? Have you seen the sales figures? In 10 days they sold 1.3 million Kinect units worldwide? They even gained a world record from it. Yes, you do need to say more. From what I've seen Move isn't very innovative at all, and even if it is more accurate than the 2006 Wii Remote that's not really a huge milestone in gaming, is it?

Kinect is way better than Move! Kinect games like Mass Effect 3, Madden 13, Ghost Recon, Kinect Sports 2, and many more are going to be great! Plus, Xbox has cross game chat, a better arcade, doesn't get hacked, and a lot of other features (like soon to be Youtube). Does PS3 have all that?
