What do you think of Nintendo's new console? Bragging more graphical power than PS3 and Xbox 360 and also the fact that it's as easy as the 360 to program games for, it looks like a killer platform

I think it could be pretty good, ignoring the lame name.

I think it could be pretty good, ignoring the lame name. Yes, when they first announced it I cringed. They shouldn't associate this with the Wii. It's like they're calling it an evolution of the Wii, not an entirely new console. Let's just hope the only major similarity is backwards compatibility.

I'mmmm , dubeoius about the Wiii "U" (fingers crossed it's just a development name) I mean no way will it have the same impact as the wii, but its because of its two supposedly main selling points. First the screen "controller", making out this is a brand new innovation. Errr anyone else remember Pac-Man Vs and the ace The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures? Would it not be better it intergrate the 3ds instead of making us buy what is essentially another Handheld that you can only use with the console? As the Million Dollar Man said "we have the technology" Second, the HD. Now I remember when Nintendo tried to compete in the visual quality game, ie. with the gamecube. While it did quite well in the market, and had some ace titles, it never stood out in the competition and as such lost third party support. Yes people whined about the lack of HD support on the Wii but that didn't stop it become a huge hit. HD has never swayed me. In fact, it was because of this it became a hit, as it was innotive and cheaper the other competitor's (I know Nintendo said they were not competing with them, but who are they kidding ;D ) Ok my "small" point took up more then I thought, so one last thing. In my opinion, its the games and how well the use the handheld thats going to make or break the Wii U.

looks good, I'm iffy on the controller, but I am against it's name. I believe they should have named it stream or duo.
