Spin-off. I agree with Docwifi. That retarded excuse SE have pulled out of their asses to bring back Gary Glitter-style Xehanort in the new games just bugs the crap out of me, and just when I thought explanations for things couldn't get any dumber and more desperate than the "666-999" exposition in the film End of Days... 8S

Well Guys in my opinion KH is a decent gaming series and has plenty of depth in the story but thats just wot i say

Ditto. The opinion card, though, is really something that oughtn't be pulled since it's common sense.
TBH, though, I guess I'm sort of wrong calling KH a spin-off, it's more of a cross-over if anything, just that the crossing-over of Disney and FF doesn't make sense at first when you think about it. As a crossover it indeed works well to an extent, it just doesn't seem serious to me despite the plot because of how the characters from the different series clash, which is how it's usually like with most crossovers. I mean, has anyone ever called Marvel Vs. Capcom serious? And yes, I know it seems retarded comparing 2 series form 2 different genres but I'm trying to sort of make a point that the point of crossovers is usually to be fun and not all that serious, if that makes any sense.
