Hello again guys, I'm finally back again! I was having a great holiday until one with lightened it up even more for me. I bought an N.E.S!
I have been wanting an N.E.S for quite a while now, but the only way you are able to get your hands on one of these retro gems, is to look high and low for a second hand one.
Wales was the answer for me. Near the Welsh border, is a supermarket called "Harry Tuffins", and behind that supermarket, every sunday a boot-sale is held. It also seems that every time I go to this car-boot there is one woman that is always there, with lots of gaming goodies. Well she was the answer to my N.E.S problem. I saw some N.E.S games displayed on her stall, including the likes of Donkey Kong Classics and Home Alone 2 (and that is a really bad game. Believe me).
She also had an N64 and a SNES for sale. This made me wonder if she had an N.E.S hidden away somewhere. So I asked, and she said that she had reserved one for some guy, but he had never turned up so she would sell it to me instead. She said it was £15, and the games were £3 each. So I decided to get two games. The first was Donkey Kong Classics (DK and DK jr both in one) and a cartridge that had both Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt on it. She let me have that all for £20, and also let me have a Nintendo Zapper that I spotted for free.
Here it all is
I was also surprised at the amazing condition it came in. It looks virtually brand new! The only thing that I noticed which showed it's age was the second controller, because it's sticker had partly peeled off. Other than that, it's in mint condition.
