I'm not impressed with the new Need for Speed games. Yes they may have great graphics, but what happens when you collide into solid obstacles? You bounce off them with not much realism of damage at all! The older games such as Road Challenge/High Stakes had better damage realism than this! You can even flip cars with that game. I should know... *ahem!* ;D

I've only played one NFS game. It was average at best...

Need For Speed Pro Street for the Wii is the worst racing game I have ever played.

Ahhh, for PS2 there's: - Underground - Underground 2 - Most Wanted - Carbon - ProStreet - Undercover I still prefer Most Wanted and Underground 2 out of all those. And then Road Challenge (High Stakes in the US) for PSOne. The damage modelling on Road Challenge is better than the later games, and the PC version of that game......don't go near it. The graphics are sharp as you'd expect, but the cars look out of proportion and their sounds....... Atleast the PSOne version has real engine sounds, some are quite nice actually lol and then there's the gameplay. The vehicles on the PC version just slide around the track like bars of soap, whilst the PSOne version, you have the proper vibration, smoking tyres, the lot. Here's a comparison of my favourite car from the game - PSOne vs. PC

Try to be optimistic. Give it a try when you have the time.
