Hear what, the other person talking or yourself talking? It really depends on where your Wii is located in your house. My Wii is in my basement, so no one can hear me talking when I use Wii Speak. The same thing goes for the Xbox and PS3, location. Whenever I am at my friends house, I can hear them talking to someone through their microphone even when I am not in the same room as them.

In your basement? That's ok then. And I meant other people hearing you and your friends talking, for example, your parents. When I am going mad online and my friends are swearing when people get head-shots on them, I don't want my parents walking in and wondering what all the racket is.

Ya, hopefully Nintendo will make a sort-of online shooter game that uses Wii Speak and has a mute button to mute other people.

I heard that Condult uses wii speak to good effect. Shame the game itself is poor

Actually not quite. You can only talk to your friends, in a private match. I wouldn't say the game is poor, I would say that the online gameplay is poor.

Apparently the New Conduit game is set to be a big improvement over the original. I've seen some screen shots and it looks ok, but I can see it being over looked by many since people who play shooters have either the Xbox 360 or the PS3, and wouldn't be interested in degrading their graphics for it's motion sensing novelty.

I have to say I disagree on that, Zenx. The Wii was obviously made to appeal to a younger audience. I disagree. the Wii wasn't made for a younger audience, but rather and OLDER audience. It's obvious that Nintendo's attempt with the Wii is to lure in a greater market of players, and 'ease them in', into the gaming experience. By doing so, they further limit the range in which their competitors can expand, and thus remaining the biggest gaming company. Dowifi: "Hopefully "The Grinder" will be the first great online multiplayer shooter for the Wii" CoD World at War had/has a great multiplayer.

The Wii is very good, i prefer the N64 but that's just my opinion. The games on that console were something else.

Yes, but doing so limits the ammount of games released for the most hardcore Nintendo players, which also drives gamers away, ruining the console for many gamers. This shows that Nintendo are concentrating more on the family having fun, instead of real gamers in general.

At the end of the day, as great as Nintendo is at making hardcore games, its still a business. And as such needs to think about sales. And the family fun has prove to be lucrative. Does not mean the games they make are any less good.

It does have some pretty good hidden gems available, but Nintendo is just trying too hard to please the casuals. Most great Wii games go unnoticed.

They announced these games because they knew they would sell, the new Goldeneye will be good also.
