Don't buy it if you have vista already. If you have xp it is a nice upgrade for it.

You have to think that they upgraded the user friendlyness. (For lack of a better term). A four year old can use vista. Its just you are more familiar with xp than the new vista. Give it some time and you will eventually get used to it and come to enjoy 7 and vista.

No you got me wrong. I love vista much more than xp, but there isnt much point in upgrading unless you need to. Most people have now because XP's are annoying.

Try upgrading for resolution quality or the fact that hardware is getting major updates.

Yes, and sorry for being away for so long and for replying to a week old post, but upgrading your computer is probably stupid, If you bought your computer with xp the year it came out, then you should get a new computer. However, if you jut bought your new computer only upgrade to vista, if necessary, because I know that some new computer games will only work with directx 9.0 compatible vista hardware and software. I right now use one of the very first vista versions and the only trouble I seem to have with it is the internet security. I couldn't even acess this forum without adding it to my trusted sites. So yeah, some things are a little annoying but I've gotten used to it and now come to enjoy vista even more than xp.

Vista is just as good as XP. I like both of them equally as good. I can't see where people who don't like it are coming from? I didn't really want a laptop with Vista, until i got one, now i like it.

Vista's on my laptop. My PC, which is XP, has a lot more stuff on its hard drive than my laptop, and yet the PC runs faster...

Ahhhh. That's probably something to do with your PC's processor speed, compared to your laptop's.
